Connect a Meta Ad Account

Bring the right ad account into Scalistro for campaign reporting, creative analysis, and growth decisions.

Before you start

  • A Meta ad account that belongs to the business you want to analyze.
  • A Facebook login with access to that ad account.
  • Permission to share the relevant advertising access with Scalistro.

Identify the Right Ad Account

An ad account is separate from your Facebook Page and Instagram profile. Select the account where the campaigns you want to analyze actually run. If an agency manages the campaigns, confirm the account with the agency before connecting.

Review its account name and ID in Meta Ads Manager. A Business Portfolio can organize access to business assets, but selecting a Page does not automatically select its advertising account. You do not need to create a new account or add payment information just to connect an existing account for reporting.

Connect Meta Ads

  1. Open Integrations for the right brand.

Find Meta and select Connect. Review the overview and continue with Facebook. If Meta is already authorized, open the ad account slot instead.

  2. Authorize the login with ad account access.

In Facebook, review the requested access and make the relevant advertising assets available. If several businesses are listed, confirm the business whose campaigns you need.

  3. Choose Select Ad Account.

Return to Scalistro and select the ad account. Compare the account identifier when names are similar. Save the selected accounts.

  4. Verify the selection.

The Meta row should show the intended ad account. Open Meta Ads reporting and choose a date range with known activity. Review the report's status before interpreting missing or incomplete results.

Understand What the Connection Does

Scalistro uses the selected account for paid advertising reporting and analysis. Creative generation and recommendations are separate workflows. Connecting the account does not create a campaign, publish an ad, change a budget, or set up payment in Meta.

When comparing reports, check that both tools use the same account and date range. Attribution settings, reporting time zones, metric definitions, and delayed conversions can affect comparisons. Keep paid campaign metrics separate from organic Page or Instagram metrics.

A connected status confirms the saved account relationship. It does not promise that all historical reporting has already loaded. Check the available report controls and status, and preserve any error message when requesting help.

Refresh Access or Change Accounts

Use Meta's Re-authenticate action when access changes or the connection requests renewed authorization. Re-authentication should restore access to the bound account. Removing an ad account does not release its fixed selection for replacement. Contact support if you need to connect a different ad account.

Removing the ad account selection is different from disconnecting Meta entirely. Review other Meta slots before using Disconnect. Previously imported data is retained when the provider is disconnected.
